change keyboard type from command line

Post by blueznl »

when using my laptop (a dell d810) my external keyboard is a different language than my internal keyboard (us vs. uk) so before using special symbols i have to change the keyboard / language settings

which is not that difficult, but either i have to do it for every application, or i have to reboot the machine

is there a command line tool that will change the keyboard? (windows xp)

You don't have to reboot. Also you only have to it once. Doing it once and forever would have taken less time than writing your post.
