I also need this feature, but for the textgadget. Here I want to overlay an imagegadget with a textgadget to have the possibility to exchange the text without exchangeing the image for other languages. In the 3D drawing statement a transparent text is possible, but this don't not working correctly in the case of redraws of the screen.

Ah!
Just realised that transparency is a feature of the image format...
try http://www.blaiz.net/clic.html - nice (free) little too for creating transparent icons...
