ExplorerTreeGadget and Network drives

Post by dige »

Hi folks,

I have connected network drives at times because of HomeOffice. But if they are not currently connected and I use the ExplorerTreeGadget, it hangs for almost a minute when initialising. Is there a trick to shorten the timeout or to prevent the checking of non-existent drives?

Years ago Ts-Soft gave me some snippet that stopped a disconnected network drive hanging when you searched it. I can't find it, it was windows specific and it was around ~2007-2009
