The english grammar is freeware, you can use it freely - But it's not Open Source, i.e. you can not change it or publish it in altered way.
Re: Which BASICs have been you using in your life?
The TPV (Point of Sales) program we are using in my shops, was first done with TurboBasic. Years later it was done with AMOS-Pro for Amiga, then it was re-done (or was ported, don't remember) from TurboBasic to BlitzBaic, and now, this year was re-done from scratch with PureBasic. Since the very first version, the database has been compatible within versions. I love most the AmosPro and PureBasic versions...

Re: Which BASICs have been you using in your life?
Basic's came with all my computers all the way back to the TRS-80. I had a Commodore with basic and a Sony with basic that had nice color capabilities. But the Basic I liked the best was Future Basic. A great community and a very responsive developer but age and system changes took its toll and I moved on the PureBasic. PureBasic out-performs all the prior Basics and also is easier to use.
