Does the PB-Tool Docmaker still work (with hhc.exe) ?

Hi,
I tried to compile a lot of htm files. I did this many times before with succes.
Now the compiled result show all 'chinese charaters'.
I suppose that has something to do with ascii-unicode convertion.
Yet, I have no clue.
Searching all day, I found that docmaker too uses the hhc.exe tool,
which I in my case only use (without docmaker).
Trying to do my thing with docmaker isn't clear how to. Yeah, the help for docmaker is quit poor.
A good ecample would be nice. Still, I think that the error is more related to hhc.exe.
Is anyone still using that (combined with docmaker) ?
