Hi everybody

As I do not have much experience on how to update an image, I will simply tell you that this is a second test on the Skin Window that I propose.

Please follow the other post about it:
viewtopic.php?f=27&t=73457

Please comment on any problems or suggestions.

Hmmm,

- Unknown user, first post
- Image link that doesn't work
- Second link, no idea where it leads to
- No description of what the program does

I would say, delete the thread and don't use the links in the meantime.

I understand you ... but I am not a new user. I had to re-initiate a new account.

If you look in the Docs, I'm the first one to help Fred on PureBasic development on Amiga.

You can trust.

Hello Roger,

it's flickering a lot when moving the window with the title bar using the mouse.

Sometime the window won't move (about 1 time/2), i have to release the mouse button and try again.

When resizing, no problem.

When the window is cover by another, it didn't be redrawn correctly when the window wich covering it disappear (border & title bar).

Thank you Denis,

It's still strange how an application behaves on different computers. One thing I'm very happy with for a first test is that everything is fine when resizing. Now, I know what I need to make improvements.

Thanks again.

Hi Roger. It isn't just differing computer architectures but the different way graphic cards and their subsystems handle buffering, drawing and a lot of other things.

Even Microsoft Windows has trouble when two identical computers BUT with different graphic cards try the same thing. I remember endlessly being frustrated by graphic issues between my daughter's machine and mine. She has an NVIDIA based card and I have an AMD one.

Does my head in sometimes. The machines are identical purchase lots.

Hi Fangbeast.

It's been several years since I had not written code lines with PureBasic. I thank you for the info on the very different behavior between NVidia and AMD graphics cards.

I will do some research on how they should be coded. I am sure that an addition of Skin Window can be implemented on PB without having to use add-on such as Codejock or others ... which are often very expensive.

I am sure that such an addition will give users a reason to want to code their software even more with PB by giving them a "look: more personal.

Thanks again

Roger

PS. I have to use Google Translate because my English is not very good.

Hi Roger. Something else I just remembered. Us Windows users have often got various versions of Microsoft DirectX installed and most modern games warn us of multiple versions detected and which one they recommend to work properly with their software. That sometimes makes a huge difference between black screen and game working.

Tell Windows users to always update their versions of DirectX and then they can test properly.

I had a lot of problems with the latest Giana Sisters games until I chose a lower DirectX to use and then it opened and worked on my machine.

Other games wanted the newer DirectX and didn't tell me.
