Background music has been replaced by, in my opinion, more pleasant soundscape.

Start Village Map extended, new system:
In the village you can now find dealers who sell power ups.
Thus, the health, shield and attack power of the axe can be increased.

The prizes of the Power Ups adapt to the hero's level.
This means that the higher the level of the player, the higher the price of the power up.

Payment is made with gold coins which the player finds in treasure chests.
It is absolutely necessary to collect the gold coins immediately, as they disappear after a certain time.

Currently, the gold stock and other upgrades are not shown in the GUI.

Workaround: Debug menu: Left [CTRL] + [F], release [F] and the menu appears on the right, sideside.

Minor bug fixes, a crash (rare).

Possibilities - New:

Via the starting village you reach the settlement of the traders.

Shops: The player can use collected gold coins
Buy benefits in shops such as:
Sharpen axe, strengthen shield, increase life (power).
Important: the price of the powerup increases with the level of the respective ability/equipment.
There is no refund of gold coins.
Only one purchase is possible per visit to the retailer.
As soon as the player re-enters the store, the range of goods is replenished.

Large spiders can drop loot.

Gold coins no longer float away, they must be collected by the player within a relatively tight period of time. Otherwise, they will disappear and the player will not receive any coins.

Important:
Saving the progress of the game:
Manually:
At the spheres of light.

Automatically:
After purchase.
After entering another area.

If the hero dies in battle or because of a trap, all unsaved progress will be lost.

If the hero dies during a quest battle, this fight restarts.
Except it is the exit of the combat area possible.

Fixed bugs:
Combat logic.
Memory leak in case of large enemy volume (respawn, spawn of enemies, loot, etc.)
Performance improved.

Known error:*
In very rare cases, the player can fight in the event of a large enemy, without touching the enemy? die for an unexplained cause.
Unfortunately, it has not yet been possible to determine under what conditions this error occurs.

Update:

Xbox Controller Integration.
The game can be played with controller or/and keyboard.
Basically, the input works as desired.
However, there are small inconsistencies:
NPC text boxes scrolling,
Switch from pause to the home screen.
(Game exits from the pause screen when key Y is held down, immediately terminated.

These circumstances will be fixed with the next update.

Otherwise, the layout shown in the game corresponds to the functions on the controller.
Difference from keyboard control:
pause is achieved via the START button of the controller.

Several bugs have been fixed.

New:
Inventory System: The Inventory can be accessed via the [O] key on the keyboard, or via the [SELECT] button of the (XBOX) controller.

Note:
Currently, the inventory is without any further function. The items are only used as
"Debug" and "Developement" placeholders.

Inventory:
Currently, there is a single variety of "Potion" that the player can collect.
This is consumed automatically when the life energy falls below 20%.
(used for testing and debugging the inventory routines)
The contents of the inventory are stored together with the game progress.

When restarting with the "continue" selection, the Inventory objects are set to the position of the
player so that they are put back into the inventory by picking them up.

Quest: The Dragon Fire can be started.

Bugfix:
Inventory Glitch, fixed.

Several bugs have been fixed.
Time and time of day were reset correctly only with a complete restart of the game, not via the menu item : New game.
This error has been fixed.

New:
Bossfight to get the first flame of the Dragon Temple.
Defeating the boss and his minions requires a relatively high level of axe (35+).
And good reflexes.
For players with low levels, a touch with one of the opponents that protects the boss is instantly deadly.

If you lose sight of the boss (combat zone), his energy bar fills up again.

Please take into account:
Not all accessible maps/environments are completed,
therefore, you can find outputs or areas that are still in development.

The ability to display NPCs in the text box when talking to an additional image cannot currently be used, as this will cause crashes and graphics errors.

Update with the following changes:

Technology:
Problems in the event of a collision are essentially resolved.
(With high enemy volumes or many objects with collision support, glitches could occur. Objects could thus pass through walls or overcome obstacles, although this was not intended.)

Added teleportation.
If present, the hero can use a "Vortex" teleportation and be teleported back to the "Start Vortex".

Various revisions of the core components.

Content:
Graphic style has been changed in large parts.

Day/night change in real time.
Different enemies at night or day time.
Day/night cycle is caused by a sun/moon disk in the lower range (shield,axe.. values).

Treasure chests can no longer be opened with the axe. The hero must touch them (run over them).

Some map areas have been redesigned. (This process is not complete).

A new map: Labyrinth. With Boss Battle for the First Flame of Dragonfire.
This is part of a larger quest (Free the village to find the entrance to the Dragon Temple)
The boss fights are still very unfair at the moment, the boss has many attackers and is very strong himself. Therefore, only a well-equipped hero can defeat him. (Axe should have damage around 100 or more)
If the boss is lost sight of, his energy bar fills up again.

To get to the first flame of Dragonfire, two battles must be fought.

New music and some sound effects adjusted.

Control is possible via (XBOX) controller or (and) keyboard.
During development, the input via (XBOX) controller is preferred.

Known errors:
Teleportation can cause a crash in very rare cases, the cause of which is not yet known.

Completely redesigned prototype.
Layout, gameplay, sound and general presentation have been redesigned.

Help free the kingdom of the dwarf king.
Find the Flames of Light around the Dragon Temple's Sacrificial Bowls
ignite so that the dragon is freed to protect the land of the dwarves.
Fight for keys, seek ways out of the labyrinths of horror, traps, and deadly enemies.
Use Teleport platforms to travel fast.

Attention:
System requirements:
Windows 10 64bit (even older Windows version from Windows 7 will work, only a hint on the screen that draws attention to the requirements)
RAM, what can I say? so from 512MB should run,
HDD free space: about 200MB
Graphics card: any (recommended from: nVidia 1050 series)

Control:
XBOX controller or keyboard.
For controllers is self-explanatory.

Keyboard:
Start = SPACE

Tested systems:
Win 10 64Bit
Surface Pro, Surface Laptop. Various Gaming Tower.

Known errors:
There may be glitches in battle. (very rare)
Day/night cycle works, but may suspend under certain circumstances.

If you buy upgrades from dealers, don't forget to collect them.
If you leave the shop, the upgrades will be lost and the gold issued will be gone.

Texts:
Currently, German is the default language.
There are no translations into other languages for which NPC conversations. (placeholders for other languages (English) are already stored)

Note:
The game is in an early stage of development. However, all known bugs should be cleared.
However, as is possible with software under development, errors (program crashes) may occur independently of

The game world is not finished. The existing material should indicate the direction for further development.
