Application:World Stamp Collector

Post by collectordave »

One for the stamp collectors.

Finaly given up on VB and rewrote the whole thing in PureBasic, much easier.

This is an application for stamp collectors, a database of stamp data that can mimic any published stamp catalogue, produce stamp albums and various reports such as valuation and wants lists. All data can be exported to CSV file format.

Planned for the future are specialised collector enhancements etc.

The whole thing is public domain, all data can be used by anyone and the programme code will be released on GitHub in the future.

The start of the programme can be seen here http://worldcollector.eu/

Thanks to all the PB community for their help over the last year and a bit.

Any forum member wishing to get hold of the code as is just PM me and I will zip it up and post.

I still need a little guidance in documenting the code and in producing a LINUX version so if anyone can help please do. Any code improvements are also welcome, no way will I have got it right.

Regards To All

If you ever finish it, that's something I can use. I inherited a 50 year old collection of stamps to catalogue and my wrists hurt thinking of the work involved cataloguing them.
