Tip: Flash Player alternative

Post by BarryG »

As you may know, Adobe Flash Player is officially ending and unsupported from Dec 31, 2020 (just over a month from today), so that websites that rely on it will no longer work. But, what if you need it for some reason, or want to play your offline SWF files in future?

Well, there is a superb safe Flash Player emulator called Ruffle -> https://ruffle.rs

I use it to run all my old SWF files/games offline, but it also has a web plug-in for sites that still have online Flash content that you may need to run.

Hope this info is of use to someone.
