What are you working on?
Re: What are you working on?
Right now, I'm working on a simple RPG game, just to see how far I can push it, and if I can get used to Basic enough to start a more serious project.

Gasp!! You had a spy webcam installed in my room? Again?? Ohh, the inhumanity!!#NULL wrote:That's what you are working on?Fangbeast wrote:/me falls off the chair
Actually, haven't done much lately except for getting older but I am trying to massage around 10 of my programs into a single one using the views principle where a custom form would load for a data type (Address, inventory, site login etc) but still drawing the data from the one table that eliminates duplicate fields.
Just too hard to maintain 10 different programs now and the one will do the job. Liable to take a while to get right.

Re: What are you working on?
For the past few years i am learning C++, Unreal Engine and started a game project i am working on with a few other people. Most of the project is made by 2 guys, me and another one. However, we also have a lot of contributors, contributing small things, like 3D assets, sounds, etc. Well sometimes even making big contributions.
You can take a look at it here:

I do use PureBasic for a user managment and authentication service for the online side of the game. But yeah, using it for a big game just doesnt make sense because you can't use it with the big engines. And honestly they offer so much, it would probably take me decades to do the same with PureBasic.

Re: What are you working on?
I am working on multi process technologies for game. Purely on a W10 basis. I built a Minecraft clone for this. To take a closer look at Ogre. I have now finished commissioned work. It was about extracting data from a PDF document for Excel and displaying it. To get an annual overview of the credit account. It was also interesting for me. Because until then I didn't know exactly what I was spending all my money on.

Re: What are you working on?
For the moment i still developing it! Its slow cause its hard and I also got hired recently but when i have tasty stuff i will update the original post! And yes! Right now im trying to make the user set the tilesets by using json instead of just using a fixed tileset format, i already have more options than the tool in which this is being inspired off! The next tasty post will happen when i have the editor in the program that generates the json so the users dont need to write them by themselves! Also thanks a lot for your interest!Nituvious wrote: wow! that's really cool! have you developed a game with it? got anymore tasty development screenshots?!

Re: What are you working on?
Here is an unfinished program with MP3D. ( Ape-Video )
Unfortunately MP3D no longer works with Pure 5.72 and higher.
There remains only the translation to Ogre, and for this one needs motivation.

Re: What are you working on?
Nothing much special, maintaining some older things (not in PB). In PB I was doing some small experimental stuff recently + continued a bit with that my protocol for games etc + started some simple self-made backup utility (which should be a daemon to periodically backup several valuable locations on HDD, instead of performing excessive backups).
PS. I was surprised to see so much stories about gamedev in this thread, that's really cool.

Re: What are you working on?
I am now thinking about creating a program to track and predict traffic congestion. It may be primitive and pointless, but I'm interested in trying it out. Only on my keyboard the keys began to sink in and I don't see this right away in the code, it's easier on the forum. Right now I'm waiting for my new Arteck Bluetooth keyboard to arrive in the mail, which I accidentally found here https://homemakerguide.com/best-mac-keyboard/.
