Speaking of idiots, it's almost comical that the Skripal incident is being blamed on Russia just because Novichok was originally developed by Russia.

The very definition of a logical fallacy.

This post can very easily turn into a major political flamewar and I'm not biting.

Don't worry; it's merely an exercise in humour.

The logical fallacy is believing Russia is being blamed "just because Novichok was originally developed by Russia."
Perhaps read this for a little more perspective.

It would take a biased perspective to lay blame purely on circumstantial evidence. Uncondonable.

I didn't believe that the syrian government was involved in the chemical attack, but there seems not even to have been one. Neither makes it sense from a government perspective, nor would they create by themself such an invitation for US occupation. the skripal case was in preparation to as well as distraction from their meddling in syria. I don't believe a word about the official narrative. It's not unlikely that some of their missiles now tried to destroy their own chemical facilities that supported terrorists to conduct previous chemical attacks.

How London and the White Helmets Staged the Douma 'Chemical Attack'

How come Russia continuously offers cooperative investigations and releases facts, whereas some western countries steadily offer accusations, classify results and interfere with international agreements.

We don't have access to all the evidence, as the report I linked to states:
EU diplomats noted that Britain’s briefings, “including much that is not in the public domain”, were “extremely convincing” on Russian responsibility.

We never do; that's the thing. These government administrations don't really have the best track records for honesty.

Nonetheless, in the spirit of amicability, I'll concede that anything's possible. :D

You'll get no argument from me there. I had hoped Brexit might act as a catalyst for the UK (or at least England) to become a direct democracy more like Switzerland so the electorate would have the power to overrule their politicians. At one point Theresa May was squaring off with the House of Lords so it did seem possible real change might occur but she threw it all away by calling a general election and drawing up a mainfesto so ridiculous it made you wonder if she was deliberately trying to lose.
