Hello,
Here is a little tool I made for my usage. Hope this help someone.

ACME GFX 0.3 - BETA
 This is a emporary generic name, Do not expect anything magical
I have no imagination to create program names.

Small program for assembling images (strip of images)
Useful to make lib or assemble screenshots in one image.
(It does not serve to make contact sheets. Here the images keep their initial size)
It accepts images in JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF, JPG2000, TGA, TIFF format

Image

How to use ?
  • Drag and drop any image file from explorer (or any file mananger) on bleu squares
  • Click preview
  • If resul OK, click Save (png, jpg, bmp)

Coming soon:
  • Add text to each image
  • Make strip vertical ou horizontal
  • Delete image (from strip, not from disk)
  • Scale image
etc

All made with PureBasic himself (no external dll)
Form made with PureBasic internal Form Designer (Thanks Polo for this good tool!)

Hm, reminded me my old program "ImgCollider". That was nice stuff, but still too lazy to port it to PB and make "user-friendly" ^^

Hello all,

Development progress of ACME GFX...
Beta 0.6

1. Program is packaged and contains x64 and x86 version. (autodetection, shortcut, uninstall in control panel)
but can be installed in any filder (single EXE)
2. New option: stay on top
3. Choice direction of final strip
4. Maring around each image (need to be set to >= 20 if caption)
5. Set a frame (1 px) around each image
6. Print caption above image (right click on each image to set caption text)

Image

Notes: this is still a beta version :!:

- Preview is not alway good :?
- Margins are sometime wrong on right or bottom (too short on preview and too large on final file)
- Some options are disabled for the moment (add file by name and preview resize)
- Program is packaged with Innosetup for but can be installed as portable version (anywhere)
- Program does not write in registry
- There are many bugs :D (I am not a professional programmer)
- Only 1098 lines, only PureBasic internal commands, no API call.
- Thanks PureBasic easy coding  productivity :!:
- This is a beta version, so this program does not have a webpage for the moment on my website
- ̶ ̶I̶ ̶s̶e̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶n̶o̶w̶:̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶A̶b̶o̶u̶t̶ ̶b̶o̶x̶ ̶i̶n̶d̶i̶c̶a̶t̶e̶s̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶c̶u̶r̶r̶e̶n̶t̶ ̶d̶a̶t̶e̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶c̶o̶m̶p̶i̶l̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ ̶d̶a̶t̶e̶.̶ ̶V̶e̶r̶y̶ ̶u̶p̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶d̶a̶t̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶s̶o̶f̶t̶w̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶ ?
FormatDate("%yyyy%mm%dd%hh%ii", #PB_Compiler_Date) Not FormatDate("%yyyy%mm%dd%hh%ii", Date())
Corrected 0.6.1 (link updated, same filename, but setup show 0.6.1)

Download Setup_ACME_GFX_0.6.exe
(Contains x64 and x86 version - Windows)
Tested on VirusTotal https://virustotal.com

Enjoy

But unfortunately, i see not one GFX function, also not a futured
GFX is named for artistic or amazing graphic functions, a nice, but often, very complicated thing

Yes, you're right,

Explanation: I have no imagination to create program names.

This is only a temporary generic name for this program that tries to do smalls graphic stuff.
(assemble/add frame/add caption and next more)

I know there are functions to do the same thing in most graphics programs (irfanview, FastStone etc), but I needed a quick tool that does that directly. No need to open many menus or use keyboard, juste open and drop files.

As indicated by version number 0.x, this is a beta program.

Its main purpose is to allow me to explore and understand the graphic functions of PB.

I like to reinvent the wheel  and PB is a good tool to maintain my old neurons. I'm not coder, I do this for fun and learn.
I'm happy to see that this little tool also interested a few people: I had 109 downloads in 8 days. Thanks

My next self-study will go to the discovery and use of layers. My goal is to add arrows, highlighting, text etc.
