IP Migration on PB servers

Post by Fred »

Hello,

We need to do a technical maintenances next week (probably on monday) to change the IP of our servers. The forums and main PB website could be unreacheable during a short amount of time, as the DNS servers needs to be updated as well.

Thanks. Guessing from the DNS update it might take from minutes to 48 hours? (Some number of DNS update that has "stuck" into my mind)

Full DNS Propagation can take as long as 48 hours.

IP has been switched, if you find something odd just tell us (don't report anything before wenesday, as DNS propagation time can be long).

From Dedibox to Iliad Enterprises, still in France, current ip 195.154.91.148.
I updated my DNS from a root DNS so I don't need to wait for propagation.

From Iliad to Iliad, Dedibox is a product from online.net which is an Iliad subsidiary.

OK, It's a way to see it, I prefer from Dedibox (SAS) to Iliad, whatever the relationship. A relationship indeed exists just by looking at the same street address in the records below (Dedibox has been sucked up by Online, which is controlled by Iliad, in 2009).

previous IP = 88.191.63.41, currently registered to Dedibox SAS

Just FYI. From practical experience (been working for an ISP in the past): DNS tables can take up to 24 hrs to fully propagate. It's not always a matter of minutes... 8)
