Thanks for the update.

Stupid question maybe, but is it needed to remove older versions first or just install it over the old version.
Especially for the sample files which could get mixed and so some work on V4.0 others on V4.5 others only on V5.1
Yeah I know, but keep in mind ... Leonardo da Vinci was also an autodidact.

No need to remove older versions, just install it renaming "Purebasic" as "Purebasic5.10"

He means: is it safe to install it directly over an old version's folder ("just install it over the old version"); as opposed to into a new folder. It was safe in the old days, but now I'd rather do a new folder to be 100% certain. Too many userlibs and options to worry about now.
Microsoft Visual Basic only lasted 7 short years: 1991 to 1998.

100% Agreed. In any case, you need to keep earlier versions as you might need to edit legacy code that would be too much hassle to give a complete update to.

If it sounds simple, you have not grasped the complexity.

Just installed the 5.10 32-bit version and these two files are included:

Code: Select all

PureBasic.exp (2,216 bytes)
PureBasic.lib (6,136 bytes)
Not meant to be there? PureBasic runs fine if I move them out.

Very nice work, a lot of new things and also for the inclusion of "Form" (Designer window).
If we begin to sum the possibility of PureBasic, it should become one of the top among the top.
Thank you for everything.
Sorry for my english  ! (Windows Xp, Vista and Windows 7, Windows 10)

Thank you very much Fred and PB team for this awesome release.

One question: MacOSX PPC support has been dropped? All I can see in the download area are OSX versions for x86 and x86_64.
