Can purebasic run on Amiga 600?

Post by Godai »

I was thinking of buying an A600 with harddrive for old times sake.
Can it run purebasic amiga?

I read the other threads about amiga, but could not find anything conclusive :)

Hello,

i'm not sure - never tested - but :

. Amiga600 has Kickstart 2.0 / Workbench 2.0/2.1
. PureBasic 2.90/4.0 requires AmigaOS3.0+

so it shoudn't works well or not at all.

AmigaOS3.0 stands for Amiga 1200 and Amiga 4000.

but well i think it should works even on A500/A600.
it's easy to verify with WinUAE.

In all cases, you should buy an A1200 rather than an A600,
believe me (AGA, More RAM, WB3.0, Better keyboard, ...).
