Re: [5.46 LTS] XIncludeFile trying to include multiple times

Interestingly, with PB 5.71 it does not happen. But we need to stay with 5.46 for some months :-(

Is there a way to fix this in 5.46?

[Done] 5.46 LTS Illegal instruction: 4 on Catalina (Fred?)

Hi,

I just tried to compile some of my stuff on MacOS Catalina and now I get error

Illegal instruction: 4

during compile time. Any idea how to solve without upgrading PureBasic?
Do I have to go back to Mojave to compile or is there a workaround?

[Done] 5.46 XIncludeFile trying to include multiple times?

Hi, I just set up a new MacOS Catalina development machine and my PureBasic source does no longer compile. The compiler is re-including the same files multiple times even if used XIncludeFile. I do not have this problem with the same compiler on another Machine and also not on Windows and Linux. Onl...

What is behind PB_Gadget_SetOpenFinderFiles()?

Hi, you maybe know the PB_Gadget_SetOpenFinderFiles() function used to get MacOS Cocoa events for files to be opened by your application. Is there someone who can tell me what is behind? What Cocoa methods to call to get such result by myself? I'm also interested in the Cocoa details about how to ge...

Sad to hear but programming is a hard job and maybe a bakery more satisfies you?

Thank you for all the help you gave and examples you did. Wish you all the best!

Re: Help with lookup table

Hi miskox, easy to see that you are not familiar with modern development concepts. I strongly suggest to take a look into arrays, maps etc and also into the (not recommended) usage of goto or (better) other constructs for loops and repeated things. In general, you try to find out how many characters...

Re: Hardcoded PureBasic.dll

I think what Mario is saying that the /DLL switch on Windows does not have a Filename parameter:

https://www.purebasic.com/documentation ... piler.html

For Linux and Mac there is a Filename parameter. But not for Windows (just /DLL).

So the DLL is always named PureBasic.dll.

I did a video of the flicker. Sadly, it does not show all the flicker, but most:

[PB 5.46LTS] WebGadget content flickering?

Hi, I'm on PB 5.46 LTS (x64) on Mac OS High Sierra. Even if I run the WebGadget example from the PB help, the content (website) is flickering. The more action, the more it flickers (scrolling, mouse movement). Opening the same pages in Safari is with no problems. The flickering also appears on the P...

Re: @Fred? Is it okay to re-create gadgets (using FreeGadget

Okay, I now understood that setting a gadget id is very different from #PB_Any. A given id is stored and handled by PB in a list (array or whatever storing handle etc). If using #PB_Any, the handle is returned directly and PB does not need to handle. Okay. So I understand the limitation, too. So I w...

Re: @Fred? Is it okay to re-create gadgets (using FreeGadget

Hi Nic,

Memory consumption? But if I use #PB_Any, the array will become much bigger anyway? And the Gadget-ID I want to re-use is already given so no change for the array? The memory is already taken by #PB_Any generated number.

Maybe I'm wrong. Sorry, I don't get it.
