Re: Support for Ascii compilation ends after the next LTS cy
Personally, I don't see much trouble in leaving ASCII compiler behind as time goes by, especially if this would mean Fred and team concentrating on the general language development (and not only on promoting its 3D Gaming aspects). Enhancement of built-in data collections and sorting procedures for ...

Re: GoScintilla - 2.7 (Purebasic 4.5 onwards)
Changing *bytePointer.i to *bytePointer didn't help much, as the next error occurred
Line 1787: Constant not found: #PB_Sort_String
(and not only in this line).
Should it be changed to #PB_String or what?
All these lil' initial setup errors make me think I do something wrong, and the whole grand ...

Re: TabBarGadget - Tabs like in a browser
Me neither. Thanks for your example and advice. It might be that my project form is too overloaded with resizable controls and splitters, and some are not coded/calculated correctly. Thank you for your quick reply, and hope to see your new version soon!I can't see any flicker.

Re: TabBarGadget - Tabs like in a browser
STARGÅTE,
precisely so. Individual attributes for tabs, to make do with just a single TabBarGadget in most cases. And text alignment, as soon as you enable us to draw wide tabs.
By the way, Stargate, do you use any "intelligent double buffering" (as Chris put it) in your gadget? I have noticed ...

hallodri,
why not trying Erel's Basic4Android ?
Unbelievable...
Am I the only guy, who finds the never ending plea/begging for mobile support daunting?
It's a small team and I find it extremely amazing, that they are able to juggle between
OSX, LINUX, Windows and Spiderbasic. Furthermore there's ...

Re: TabBarGadget - Tabs like in a browser
oh, the pleasure is all mine!
yes, I am testing your marvelous gadget at the moment, among other things, against "clickable text labels" (that I use instead of standard win panel gadget, due to irksome flicker effect on old Windows). See, when you've got a set number of tabs (say, three or five ...

Re: TabBarGadget - Tabs like in a browser
Stargate , I hate to ask you again, and yet, do you ever plan to implement text alignment for tabs (in case of really wide, stretched ones), or do I miss something again (haven't found it in 1.5 b1 either)? Probably, it's not that easy, I realize it, given all those frills and images one can pin to ...

Re: TabBarGadget - Tabs like in a browser
Dear Stargate ,
from what I get from gTranslate and your examples, it's not quite clear how to apply the DefaultHeight constant:
Specify the position (X, Y) and the dimensions (width, height) of the tab bar. # TabBarGadget_DefaultHeight can be used for Height or Width to take advantage of ...

Re: Creating An Array Name At Runtime?
Thank you, Demivec , for your full explanation,
yes, I didn't think of maps as accepting concatenated array names for keys. All in all, your modification provides much more readable and flexible albeit a bit more complicated (on the face of it) solution, as well as exemplifies that basic principle ...

Creating An Array Name At Runtime?
Could you tell me what are the (right/slick) ways of creating array names at runtime? I but vaguely remember there are some cute operators in languages like C or PHP that turn a variable value into a new variable's name, though of course I don't expect such syntax flexibility from PB. From what I've ...

Re: TabBarGadget - Tabs like in a browser
STARGÅTE,
your lib looks so alluring, really. By the way, does TabBarGadget support bottom (vertically flipped) tabbars? Somehow I can't figure it out in your panzergemachtkaputt of a helpfile
P.S. Dankeschon for your quick reply.

Re: No FrontColour With SetParent_
Function UseGadgetList() supported and recommended for use?
But she also does not support color.
A nice one, thanks for underpinning my point. Is it probable that UseGadgetList() refers internally to SetParent function on Windows? Nonetheless, I think Rashad's explanation (given in the first ...

Re: Date Calculations
Ok, but why you use doubles (yes i know you make arithmetic with Julian days)?
I think it would be better to use Quads and extend the UNIX-Time (arithmetic with seconds)
With sign Quads, you can use time before and after 1970.
That's interesting, why don't you show how?
A great topic, and it can ...

Re: No FrontColour With SetParent_
Rashad,
thank you for your exhaustive explanation. Right, the second way is preferable and quite sufficient, and #WS_CLIPSIBLINGS flag seems to do the trick perfectly. I have to test it furthermore, though.
