Is there any reason why I have received download/login details for Purebasic when I have been an owner for about a year?

True, but managed code seems to be the way Microsoft are going and there are going to be api's in longhorn that are more easily accessible through managed code that native.

I think I am going to stick with dot net. It's a better career move for me.

Language?

Longhorn is Microsofts new OS. You will be able to write apps in managed code so creating software in dot net now is a good move.

It would probably be better if you didn't swear on your web page.
