Re: Resize Windows and make scrollbar appear ?

I would like to make scroll bars from scrollareagadget() appear when I make the window smaller. (manual resizing) How do I get this effect ? Just resize the ScrollArea gadget to the new window size. Scrollbars appear automagically. If OpenWindow(0, 0, 0, 1920, 1080, "test", #PB_Window_Min...

Re: Blog post !

Why aren't you using goto? Bkeak 2 can be translated like this in C. for (uint8_t i=0; i<10; i++) { for (uint8_t x=1; x<100; i++) { goto break2; // This Bkeak 2 in PB. } } break2:; It's the plan, it's just not implemented yet. Maybe you can add an internal break_level for inner loops? #include <std...

Re: NextDatabaseRow extreme slow

Is there a difference when you use the flag #PB_Database_DynamicCursor for DatabaseQuery()? Maybe you can use the same code like your C code in PB, without using PB's database commands. s = sqlite3_step (stmt) if s = #SQLITE_ROW ... - SQLite3 BaseFunction-Include for Win + Lin + Unicode - SQLite Aga...

Re: Blog post !

I'm not asking it it will be needed or not. What I'm asking is if it will be possible otherwise 100 000 lines (maybe more) will simply go to waste. That's my point. :evil: Interfaces are working in SpiderBasic and it is possible in C as well. It‘s just a struct with vtable with function pointers. ;)

Re: Allow underscore as separator for number literals

Underscore is used as digit separator in many languages: - TypeScript - JavaScript (ES2021) , ES2021: numeric separators - Java - C# 7 Digit Separator - Python: Underscores in Numeric Literals - Ruby - Ada - D Integers can have embedded ‘ _ ’ characters to improve readability, and which are ignored....

Re: Blog post !

This reminds me what Guimauve's Dev-Type program was generating back then. It's nothing new in town and to be honest I can't consider this OOP. We are not really talking about OOP. OOP with Classes, Methods, etc. was discussed 10 or 15 years ago and the result was it will not be supported by PureBa...

Exactly why I want the option to extend structures with procedures so we get instance-style programming finally easy for the ones wanting it. Up to now we have to resort to hacks of various complexity and too much boiler plate code... one simple addition...: In Rust you can implement functions/meth...

Beside BCX there is also Wonkey ( github.com/wonkey-coders/wonkey ) which translates to C++ and can import C and C++ libraries. Looks cool but I couldn't find a Get Started tutorial 8) You may want to join the Discord Chat to ask questions. And an example of importing C (preferably webview ) would ...

Re: Scintilla macOS 10.14+ patch f. vert. scrollbar problem

I didn't know how to get to the right scrollView and the initialization of the scrollView. Looking at the Scintilla sources for v3.7.x did help to find the right variables and structure (ScintillaView.h / ScintillaView.mm). Also the redirection of the method "tile" is ingenious and to cal...
