Re: Form Designer 5.00 beta 3
It would be nice for the PureBasic IDE to work exactly like Visual Basic. In a sense you can create your form, and code its functionality in real time. Maybe add a little popup box to the IDE asking what type of application would you like to create (GUI, Console, etc), or to open a existing project.

Why so hostile Warmonger?

Re: Windows 8 Support
WinRT is not part of Win32 yet. Its a completely separate API, if you would take the time to look at the OS for yourself you would realize that. Win32 will go pretty much unchanged , the big benefactor is WinRT. This is why you must use a new version of Visual Studio to even utilize it. Because it ...

Re: What could one do every day to get him motivated to code
But really, you should just jump into a project knee deep even if you don't have it planned out completely... Clearly your forte, Warmonger.
Hi Primoz128. Whatever the approach, I truly believe that there must be some element of planning. Jumping in blindly would only result in atrociously buggy ...

Where do I sign up to have this brain defect inflicted upon me?
Sadly, it's not possible, since such a brain defect is a gift of the gods. However, DeepRoot's sage advice is a worthy substitute.

Re: Form Designer for Mac/Windows/Linux -5.00b2
Hello,
Few glitch I have found :
In Preference setting Window : The ComboxGadget() used to select the panel position, the skin to use, and the Language should have the height set to 30. With the current height the current ComboBox content are not fully visible, we can only guess.

Re: Form Designer 5.00 beta 3
Bug: When editing values inside the preferences box, and then clicking on the form changes are discarded. The only way you can edit preferences of a control is to hit enter at the end or clicking on another preference. And these areas need to scroll with the scroll bars (something that a fix should ...

Re: Graphics and My New MoBo, CPU and Graphics Card
The 8400GS is an extremely low end graphics card made for playing at most games like Battlefield 2. It has only 8 processing cores, if your looking to do anything CUDA related you better throw out some serious money because you're going to need a real card like a GTX 660 or bigger. And to answer ...

Re: Windows 8 Support
The set, "Windows 8 API", contains the sets, "Win32" and "WinRT". But the set, "WinRT", is not contained in the set, "Win32". Also, all previous posts in this thread seem to have something to do with the loosely worded title, "Windows 8 Support".
Therefore, TI-994A leads the match, three sets to ...

Re: Windows 8 Support
Wrong again, the Windows API is not made up of both Win32 and WinRT. WinRT is a side-by-side API that only relies on Win32. Microsoft has not incorporated WinRT into Win32 yet. Bottom line is, your looking for a reason to go off topic. I suggest you stop replying to my thread, because obviously you ...

Re: Windows 8 Support
Actually, Windows 8 has added more than a thousand new functions and hundreds of new classes to its API ... Actually none of them functions exist in Win32, you are thinking of WinRT. Something that PureBasic probably wont support ever. Most of everything is the same within the API, tho the way the ...

Project Icon
It would be nice to have a new project icon for .pbp files. If you have several included files in the same directory, its kinda hard tracking down the project file for loading the project every time. I personally recommend taking the original red PureBasic file icon that is already used for .pb ...

Re: Windows 8 Support
Of course most of the existing functions will still work as Win32 hasn't changed any. Tho Windows 8 handles memory and other things a little differently then previous OS's. So you can expect there to be a few bugs down the line. Actually, Windows 8 has added more than a thousand new functions and ...

...Which should give them no excuse not to update the constants and parameters of other functions that rely on the OS. It would be terrible to see 5.00 release and not at least support the already existing functions. Hi Warmonger. Windows 8 has complete backwards compatibility with Windows 7. So ...

Re: Building my new system fx-8120
Pretty sad when last gen and Intel's mid range chips can level the field with AMD's flagship processor. Hopefully Piledriver wont be a disappointment either.
