It is not a SQL based language, it is a set of DLL API calls that wrap dBase III type files.

One of the nice things that I use it for, is the ability to encrypt the databases.

It is VERY Fast, Multi user, and Robust.

Thats all I can say, download it if you want to know more.

PlanetSquires - Cheetah DataBase is now FREEWARE

Planet Squires has now released the Cheetah DLL as freeware.

I have been using this DLL for over a year now (bought and registered) and find it an excellent tool for standalone databases (xBASE compatable).

Why not go and try it at http://planetsquires.com/cheetah.htm , it is well worth a look ...

Thank You,

It is a very useful LIB.

All I have to do is learn French so that I can better understand the Help File.

Thanks again, it has come at a most opportune time.

Kind of sketchy to charge 15 bucks for a crumby product then never post again. This guy should be banned.

I think this is rather harsh.

Like I said, I bought a copy, $15 (I spend this on lunch some days) and it has served me well with my integration of MSoffice apps, Internet Exporer and ...

[opinion]
Personally I use PBDev (www.hellobasic.com to try the demo) for my development work. It's not only a Visual Designer (l see you used PureVision) but a total environment that adds event programming and is more WYSIWYG.

I fully agree, I have both pbDEV and PureVision. I am ...

Anyone know if this is still available anywhere else.

Thanks

That is definately a good reason for some people not to use it.

However for those of us that just want a good set of tools to develop commercial / custom software I believe that PureVision is an attratrive alternative with a lot more options and feature than the standard VD.

I still believe that ...

VD Alternatives

I find that the PureVision Visual designer by Reel Media Productions is a great alternative. Since I bought it months ago I have not even looked at the standard Visual Designer.

and at only $25.00 was great value.

Why not give it a try.

Is this still around or what happen to this?

I can confirm that it is still about, I actually bought a copy of this DLL last week for $15.00

It is a very useful addition, and greatly assists me in accessing COM components, etc. In fact I am using it to embed a HTML editor into a project by using ...
