maybe this tiny example (out of my actual gameengine) may help for sprite3d :

what do you need:

the base for the scaler is your developement resolution.
if the gamers resolution is different the scaler will take effekt.
you do not need to scale it every frame. just call it once you load the map ...

Welcome to my new gameproject.
the core is based on my "old" lucy/in_grid gameengine, which was transformed to "parasite engine" during developement.
features: maps of nearly any size, using streaming for graphics and sound.
cachesystem for maps.

I am surprised, that my first attempt of programming a multipurpose gameengine works fine, because there are so many, bugs in the background...
thats why I am working on an improved version of this engine, including better object and memoryhandling, more possibilities...and much more to ...

first "Beeni" made many changes:
Graphics: more eyecandy and relaxing colours.
Gameplay: 4 Levels including "boss" level, highscore (basic implemention)

Thank you. the keyboard situation will be fixed. if you use joypad for playing you will not encounter this problem. for the coloring/gamedesign: I like this style and think it "feels right" for "Beeni" :D

Something not "official":
If you press [S] you can toggle between smoothing/nosmoothing. if frames drop the smoothing will switch off. [D] will show you some realtime debug infos.

there may be some problems caused by leveldesign situations, which will be changed. could you tell me the screen resolution you are using? the gameengine uses an
autoscale feature which tries to scale everything to the users pc desktop resolution for best experience.

@Darius: In the "Copyright.txt" file you say it's public domain and also that the user doesn't have permission to change the contents in the archive. Well, public domain means you've given it away for free and that anyone can legally do whatever they want with it. So, you may want to NOT call it ...
