Re: Windows 8 upgrade rant..GRRRR
I'm still running Windows XP because it works. I have Windows 7 that I got through my employer supplied MSDN account, and I'll use it if I ever need to reinstall Windows, but as long as my Windows XP installation keeps working, I'll keep using it because Windows 7 doesn't offer anything new that I ...

Re: IE 10 for Windows 7 SP1 released and available now
I like Chrome, but I had to quit using it due to too many compatibility issues with GMail and YouTube and continual crashing when trying to use those services.

Re: MS security essentials upgrade error 0x80070645
I tried MSE and it is a nice program, but on XP it would never auto update, I had to manually run the update periodically. I could not find a solution and a friend reported the same problem with MSE also only on XP, he said the auto update worked fine on Windows 7. Figuring that it was some ...

Re: Stay away from Java!!!
Sometime last year, around October I think, when there was a big todo about another security problem with Oracle's JVM, I uninstalled it. After that I found I had Microsoft's old JVM and removed it too, since it is no longer supported.

Thanks, but I'll keep my Altap Salamander . The base price is $29.95 USD which includes a bunch of plug-in extensions, for there are three plug-ins that you have to buy, they are, Pict View, WinSCP, and Self Extrator. If you want all three plug-ins, the price is $53.80 USD. I've been using it for ...

Though Google got fined, it wasn't enought to hurt them in the slightest.
So all I can say is, "Screw you, Apple! Hahahaha!"

Parallels Workstation 6 for $10!
If you are interested, Parallels has a special offer where you can get their Workstation 6 for Windows and/or Linux for $10!
It appears to be something they're doing for the Windows 8 release preview, they say it's a limited time offer, don't know how long it will last.

The VPN the company I work for uses RSA SecurID tokens. The problem is that for the Android version it is capatible only with v1.0 of the software which is no longer available through Google Play (what used to be the Android Market).

Re: Windows 8 doesn't have Aero
Suits me just fine, one of the first things I do after installing Windows 7 is turn off Aero. IMHO Aero is just a waste of system resources that I'd rather be available for things I want to do rather than just making Windows look "pretty".

Yes you can get the basic simulator and play with it all you want for free, but if you want extra cities, airports, planes to fliy, etc. you have to buy them as add-ons or DLC.
