Re: Keyboard not showing for editorgadget in windows tablet

Thank you Mijikai, but the problem is if the user closes the keyboard how can it be brought back? I can see that if you leave my program and activate the tabtip you get the keyword back, but that is too complicated.

Normally you would be able to activate the keyboard by pressing the keyboard icon ...

Keyboard not showing for editorgadget in windows tablet

Dear All,

I'm writing a program to be used on a Windows 10 tablet. If in tablet mode the keyboard is supposed to pop up whenever an "enter text field" is selected. This works well on the InputRequester, the keyboard pops up as it should. When selecting an editorgadget it does not however. Any ...

Global variables when using Form Designer

I suspect that this is a newbie question but since I don't know the answer... :D

I'm trying to write a new project using the Form Designer. The project uses a SQLite database and the database should be accessible on different forms within the project. Because of this I created a global variable ...

Re: Indicate change in text

Nice, but do you know anything about the reliability? At least someone seems to have had problems with it...

Indicate change in text

Dear All,

I have a programme that shows records in a couple of editor fields. The user can change the text in the fields.
What I would like to do is to signal to the user that he has changed the text by changing the background colour.

Just now I can think of two ways of doing it.
1. record ...

Re: TextEditGadgetEx PB 4.60

Very nice gadget !

I just noticed a minor bug (I think), on line 565 it says #PB_Canvas_GrabMouse, shouldn't it be #PB_Canvas_ClipMouse ?

Re: Transparency of containergadget

Dear All,

Thank you for all the help.

Dear PureLust, thank you for the code, but I think I will go with the idea of just putting all the controls on a container and then hide it. If I use the code I'll get back to you.

Transparency of containergadget

I am trying to use the containergadget as a way of organising various gadgets. I have created a containergadget that totally covered a ListIconGadget. However, the headings of the ListIconGadget appear if I move the mouse over the location where they are (but hidden beneath the containergadget). I ...

Re: Capturing keys in editorgadget

I must have misunderstood the help file - I thought that you had to have a Menu item that was to be activated by the AddKeyboardShortcut().

Thank you for the rapid help :D
