I was reading through the Atomic Web Server source code, and I have a question.


Default
RequestLength.l = ReceiveNetworkData(ClientID, *Buffer, 2000)
Gosub ProcessRequest

How come Fred (the programmer) chose the data buffer length of 2000, and not smaller, or bigger? Why not ...

I am a completely fresh programmer. Fresh as in I have NEVER touched a line of code before. But I want to learn and am looking for an easy language to learn. I am considering 2 possibilities. One is PowerBasic and another is PureBasic.

Does anyone in this forum have experiences with both languages ...
