Im drunk and miserable about programming

Hey, writing this as drunk. I started programming with C64 and once I got my PC I learned about C and ASM (and some C++). My past was pretty much that, I was curious about computers while all around me were talking me down... to all people around me computers made people bad or weak. For a while I w...

Before crashing mouse locations are not updated regularly, mouse pointer is moving jerky. Installed my mouse own applications (logitech...

Re: Any PB programmers who are EMPLOYEES?

Perhaps an expert could explain how to create a DLL with PB without using a single PB command/function which would by default be wrapping that command/function in the DLL (of which wrapping functions for use is the entire purpose of a DLL)? I am genuinely perplexed. You are overgeneralizi...

Re: Even nerd can be a hero!

Yea I believe the thing preventing people from helping someone in the public is a fear of embarrasment. (is that a word?)

Myself... I am a bit of a lunatic so I dont care if it looks embarrassing to push a car in middle of traffic :)

Re: Even nerd can be a hero!

I didnt want to turn this thread into harsh judgementing :) But one thing to say is that I work in a software company employing ~150 programmers and majority of the people have the same level of situation awareness as I do when it comes to seeing someone needing help out there in public. Maybe its t...

Re: Even nerd can be a hero!

> people are busy with their meaningless lives Don't be so harsh. You have no right to judge their lives as meaningless compared to yours. People do have priorities of their own to attend to. Someone driving past could be heading to an important job interview so they can feed their family. Or to th...

Re: Coca-Cola introduces new, futuristic soda machine

And by the way, in a PERFECT WORLD there were NOT 900 million people who have NO access to clean drinking water. An thus NOT every 15 seconds would die a child, because there is not enough clean drinking water available. Each time I take a shower I die a bit inside thinking I "bath" in dr...
