[Implemented] Support for 64 bit processors

I know this is premature, but it would be nice to know if in future, if PureBasic will fully support 64 Bit processors. I know FASM will have to support it first, but when it does, will PureBasic follow ?

I ask this because it seems 64Bit OS and 64 Bit processors are going to be newest coolest ...

yeah facts are important , thanks for the correction. As I said I have not purchased BMax so I don't know, just assumptions and from reading forum posts more than anything. Does MingW have to be downloaded and installed ? or is that mainly for windows headers ?

You're 100% wrong, and you don't need to download cygwin to run BlitzMax on Windows platforms. Silly thing to say.

[Edit]While I'm at it, it's worthwhile to say that a a Bmax Sieve exe outperforms everything but MSVC on Windows -- including DevC -- and comes very close to equalling MSVC's ...

From what i understand BlitzMax uses GCC as its backend, to be cross-platform compatible.

So it seems Mark Sibly did not write the compiler , he only wrote the front-end. I may be 100% wrong , but thats what it seems like. You need to download cygwin or something like that to run the windows ...

if it is using 500 meg of texture memory then it will overflow from your video card into your system memory. This will cause a definate slow down. It has nothing to do with your processor power, but the fact that it has to retrieve textures from system memory when they are used for rendering. I ...

Sorry guys have to post, but just wan't to make a couple comments and not debate the issue. Food for thought. Some pedophile in BC (British Columbia, province in Canada) was arrested and charged a couple years ago for molestation, anyway the dude was also taking images of children and putting them ...

It's about time ... I've played the new starwars game on XBox and I have it for PC, huge difference. It's exactly the same game but the resolution of the mouse and keyboard give you soo much more control that a wobbley joystick. Getting headshots with Halo 2 would be a breeze. Thanks for the tip naw ...

No, I don't believe God made the universe in seven days, I think your not too bright if you believe that it was drummed up in my head since I was little.
Sorry but making you sing hymns and say prayers at elementary school qualifies as drumming christianity into your head when you are little.

I ...

As far as game simultion goes, you should have a look at:

http://www.newtondynamics.com/index.html

it's in DLL format right now, but a static lib is coming shortly or is already available. Anyway this library is really good, and focuses on accuracy. It uses C libs, so compatibility with PB will ...

I think your not too bright if you believe that it was drummed up in my head since I was little. I went to a Catholic elementary school and I never ever recall being told to take something like that literally. Your just being foolish.

Did you have to go to assembly and sing hymns and say prayers ...

Thought of getting into the same thing, but it seemed like a lot of trouble to emulate a PC. I think NVidia and a Japanese company are coming out with a console system next year that has linux OS and OpenGl for graphics. I imagine this will be much more portable for adding your own software.

I use ...

If nobody told you about god until you were 18 and then they sat down with you and said "look, there's this amazing chap called Mr God who made the universe in seven days blah, blah, blah..." you wouldn't believe them would you?

It's patently nonsense, it's only because you've had it drummed into ...
