Re: Tsoding did a PB stream...
COOL!
No. Not cool. Just another video of someone talking about something he doesn't know anything about. And some people will watch this and think this is a well done review. Just awful. Look at the comments, someone even said you can use % as a variable type identifier. No thinking, no ...

Re: Tsoding did a PB stream...
Yeah, I know what you mean.
Had to make breaks and watch it 20 minutes at the time.
However, his unusual approach is exposing inconsistencies in programming language syntax and compiler tooling.
Most of the time he's spot on.

Re: Tsoding did a PB stream...
Mr. Tsoding is testing PureBasic again!
(just started watching, don't even know the outcome...)
EDIT:
Bottom line: He likes PB very much, but not sure if he would pay 79 Euros for it.
What he did not understand is that he gets Lifetime Updates!
Even though I do not use PB that much, I think ...

Re: PureCAD - WIP
From the link you provided, both examples on that page work, from pjay and shadoko.
The buttons are constantly visible as they do not flicker, but the drawing area is light gray and flickers brighter.
No objects are seen in the drawing area.

Re: PureCAD - WIP
@fsw : could you say me a bit more on what it is doing flash-flicker ? Any screenshot for that ?
This would only be seen in a video, as a screen shot only shows a light gray area.
(one would need several screen shots per second to catch different appearances)
The flicker is around several times ...

Re: New installed Purebasic won´t work
PureBasic 6v12 LTS and 6v20 beta work fine on my Apple Silicon laptop running Sequoia 15.2.
I have Xcode installed, as well as the command line tools.

Some other languages offera defer that is executed when a scope ends (any scope, not only procedures).

Re: Forum Bugs Section Lost a Lot
Well, if you look at other sections (like Bugs - Windows) they go back all the way to 2007/2008 time frame.
When a bug is fixed Fred adds Done to the subject.
Also, because we can look back and see if a bug we find ourselves was already mentioned we can avoid double posting.
Maybe it's a database ...

Re: Tsoding did a PB stream...
...because of his own unprepared ignorance.
I think this weird approach is by design, it seems he loves to break things.
Some programming languages he tested survived this kind of torture with flying colors.
The C3 programming language is one of them and IMHO it's good to fix things he finds ...

Re: Tsoding did a PB stream...
The walkthrough during the livestream appeared rushed and shoddy, and the Linux version was probably not the best choice.
He's always rushed and most of the time merciless.
On the bright side, PureBasic was still showcased to a considerable audience, and I believe that the demo-download ...

Yeah, if there is something goofy with a programming language he will find it.
If you have time follow his journey with Swift.
I definitely like his approach...
