Re: Splitter and Resizing

Thanks, guys, much appreciated.
The ContainerGadget was a leftover artefact from an earlier attempt.

Code: Select all

  SplitterGadget(#splVert, 0, 0, w, h, #pnLeft, #splHorz, #splVertOpts)
Huh. This is cool. I didn't realize the Splitter could act like that.

Many thanks .. mark.

Splitter and Resizing

Hi.

I'm playing around with multiple splitters and can't get it quite right.

Below is some example code, but it has problems, all in the right pane. For example, the sub-panels aren't centered, the lower box isn't sized correctly, the resize behavior isn't quite right. Looking at the PB IDE, I get ...

System font dialog?

Hi.

I'm just starting to get back into doing PB stuff and I find myself missing something obvious: user font selection. So I have a editor gadget and I want to allow the user to set the font using the system font dialog, just like in the form designer.

Anyone care to help me out with the obvious ...

Re: Can you check this out? (mac os)

I can move the button, and i can click the button (but don't move it).
I did not understand, so is it possible to move the button inside the canvas to the mac os?

I'm using 5.61 under OSX 10.12.6 (Sierra). Left click in the canvas (not in or on the button) and
you can drag the button around ...

fret-o-matic (OSX only)

Hi.

I'd like to offer up my initial release of the fret-o-matic tool.

http://www.archsys.net/dropbox/fret-o-matic.031.tgz

It is a stand-alone app that require no installation and no
special permissions. It contains no spyware nor awareness
of anything, really. There is no disclaimer because it ...

Bug? Fonts and AddGadgetItem

Hi.

I have something that is not obvious and feels wrong. It might be me.

If OpenWindow(0, 0, 0, 322, 150, "EditorGadget",

EditorGadget(0, 8, 8, 306, 133)

Re: Listview Multiselect GetGadgetText()

I am using OSX If you would have posted your OS in your signature, I would have posted the API code for OS X...

I have converted my example from above using Windows API functions to an example using the necessary MacOS API functions.

Wow! Many thanks, Shardik. Fantastic stuff.

Re: Keyboard mapping --- ctrl-a/e

Wouldn't Macs have a way to remap the keyboard globally anyway?

Doh! Many thanks, dude. I got stuck in the "it's the editor's responsibility" thought and you are exactly right. A quick search and I found

It does the trick, is free, can pretty much ...

Re: Keyboard mapping --- ctrl-a/e

Press the Home key to go to the beginning of a line, and End to go to the end.

Nice try, dude, but (a) 2nd gen apple keyboards, like the one on my MacBookPro, don't have either Home or End, and (b) even if they did, it just isn't the same having to lift your fingers from the keyboard to do ...

Keyboard mapping --- ctrl-a/e

Hi.

Anyone help me with this one? I do my stuff pretty much all on a Mac these days and I am an old emacs / command-line guy. I find I really really miss being able to type ctrl-a (beginning of line) and ctrl-e (end of line) in PB and have it work, just like it does in this web edit box.

Is there ...

Text Gadget --- Vertical Center?

Hi.

Is it possible under OSX to vertically center text in a text gadget? Horizontal centering is handled by #PB_Text_Center, but if I change the font from the default and increase its size, the vertical centering is off (it is too high), making the display not quite perfect.

Any thoughts? Ideally ...
