Re: Problem Reading Text File

I'm sorry colboy for interfering your post. My problem turned out not to be the same as yours.
Just for the record, I tried to write a hiscore-input-procedure, using KeyboardInkey().

Re: Problem Reading Text File

There is nothing wrong with file.pb
However, I do have a ReadString problem (I think)
I will try to fix it, and if not, return here :)
Thx for your interest.

Re: Problem Reading Text File

I can confirm the file-problem.
Simply try running the file.pb from the examples folder.
It does not give the right result!
It seems the problem is with the ReadString command.

I'm running v.5.00 on win 8

If OpenWindow(0, 0, 0, 200, 200, "", #PB_Window_SystemMenu | #PB_Window_ScreenCentered)

;Please try to comment the following 2 lines in and out :

SetWindowColor(0, $368390) ; This command makes "Hello" disappear!? Why?

Chess yourself!

This small "game" comes from the smartphone-world, where it is called Solitaire Chess

The download is 1 exe-file (220kb)
(You have to ignore the warning, and select "run anyway", or something like that)

Well, the Eee has been avaliable for som time now. Would be interesting to hear if someone has tried PB-programming on it.
The Windows version is XP, so I guess this means directX etc.

Notebook

Hi! I'm planning to buy one of the small, new notebooks, Asus Eee og Acer aspire one (- windows version). I'm hoping also to be able to run PB on it.
But the display is 1024x600, and I can't open a screen with this res. Is there a solution to this problem?
Thanks

Update? Solution found!!

Hi again. As you know(?) I could'nt update my PB. The computer crashed. It turned out to be the virusscanner. I'm using AntiVir, and it had to be shut-down. Then everything worked fine. :D
(I'm writing this as a new topic, to be sure it is seen - if others have same prob)
