I've noticed that I get it frequently with Chrome, and not with the other browsers. I can only assume that this has something to do with the multi-process driven browser - remember that without any extensions, you have the "Chrome Web Browser" and the site you are visiting as two separate processes, and that could mean that the host recognises it as two immediate views as the same time - thus Forbidden.

All other browsers don't suffer from this from what I can tell.

Ahhh yeah, good point! but strangely in the past, chrome didn't used to have a problem here. it's been my browser of choice for a few years now though. it's only really the last few months where it has gradually been getting affected to the point where it is ruining my enjoyment of visiting this site. It hasn't impacted any other site I use, so it is just an annoyance to me really

I'm in the UK and I use Virgin Media but I've never seen the 403 message.
I've used various browsers (Firefox, Pale Moon, Opera) always with ad-blockers.

well I guess that narrows it down to something Chrome does differently to other browsers then. Doesn't matter that you are late. it's just good to be able to eliminate a few possibilities

If you cannot narrow it down to your browser, blame your ISP or the one that hosts the PureBasic site. No, not joking. How wierd is this? I am in Thailand. I service customers around the globe using ssh connections. Two sites by the same owner over in the US - one I cannot get into direct from Thailand. The other store I have no problem going in direct from Thailand. Both these locations use the same ISP and the are only 8 Km apart from each other. Ok, gets stranger. The one store I can get into direct from Thailand will not let me do a hop from there to the other site only 8 Km away ... but I have an office also located in the US on the opposite coast, maybe 5000k from these 2 sites. Obviously a different ISP at our US office. If I ssh to our office then I can ssh to both customer sites. I run into this type behavior mmmm, maybe not frequently, but its not terribly uncommon. I have a similar situation with a few sites in Holland. I have to go into one site and do an ssh hop from there to get into another site only a Km away and both on the same ISP. Goody stuff. I know I am talking ssh and not http, but network is network -- its all just a bunch of addresses and ports. Easy to screw that stuff up with nothing more than a short brownout in power. And then their is the IT people with uhhhhh, various skills trying to run it. I would test with tracerout from your command prompt. Either way that goes, I would complain to my ISP if it persists.
