It seems, that Fred is a genius in programming, but not so genius in marketing (this is no criticism). I hope that he will continue development in an acceptable manner (and the blog entry states so).
But I understand the first question of
Ramihyn_ in this thread, because I started some Linux porting a few days ago and upon now I posted 6 Linux related bugs I found. The PB developers themselves obviously do not use PB on Linux very much. I hope that all Linux developers are reporting their problems and tips and tricks - and PB continues to get the best programming language choice for desktop and server programming someone can take.
PS. I wonder why no company offered Fred a part time job where he can continue PB development on a payed basis? If my company would be just big enough, I would do...Best
