That doesn't apply to customer service.netmaestro wrote:No news is good news.

I don't think PureBasic is dead, but the team is treating their paying customers with utter contempt now. Enough is enough. Time to post an official comment, even if it's just something as short as "sorry for the delay, the new version is still underway". Seriously, if it's to write something like this, without any informations just think twice and hold your hand. Development of PureBasic is not discontinued, do you really think we will stop a 10 year more development like this, without any explainations ? The 4.60 version is on its way and should be released early in september, with some beta in between. It takes a while as i have a lot of docs to do for the new commands, and believe it or not: i don't like writing docsutopiomania wrote:@RichAlgeni, The development of PureBasic has stopped.
And this is why we love PB and you.Seriously, if it's to write something like this, without any informations just think twice and hold your hand. Moreover we both have a daily job since the beginning of the year, so it means less time for PB. It's not the first time i handle both a daily job and PB (did that 5 years over the 10 years of dev), without big impact. We do our best to keep a correct pace of development, but sometimes it's difficult to get back on coding after a full coding day. That's life. I will probably get back fulltime on PB somewhen, so big changes will happen here.
What I have said before is still true: if I have to quit PB for any reasons, I will release the sources, either in Open Source form, or to a closed community which will be able to drive the project. We are not the kind of men which don't keep our words, so please, don't panic if you don't have news from us for a few time.
