Hello there,

PureBasic 4.51 final version is out ! It's a bug fix only release, so it shouldn't break anything. For a list of the fixed bugs, just look at the bug forums and feel free to check if your issue is really gone (no need to bump the topic if it is). Grab it on your online account !

As a side note, PureBasic is officially turning ten years ! More info here: http://www.purebasic.fr/blog/

Have fun and enjoy,

The Fantaisie Software Team

I just installed the Windows x86 version and the History section of the help file makes no mention of the 4.51 version.
However, the IDE About box says 4.51.
I uninstalled the last version (4.50) before installing 4.51.

Should I re-install or was the help History not updated for 4.51 or was the new help file not put into the installer?

Happy Birthday and thank you for the new version. Yes, I remember "Barbarian" (headcut was great), but not on Amstrad CPC but on ZX Spectrum, the rival machine which I still own (and code for it).

Nope, no big deal, just making sure I have the latest version.

Thank you Fred.

Congratulation to the 10 year anniversary tomorrow.

I came in contact with PB in spring 2001 (only because I was looking for a rapidQ replacement) and have to say:

"We went through a lot together, and most of it was your fault..."

Thank you Fred and Timo for such a wonderful piece of software.

Live long and prosper.

Thanks, Team. Your Basic is truly the best one out there! :)

Thanks Fred and Freak for creating and looking after PureBasic. It's a wonderful thing you've made! :)

EDIT: I've read the blog. It's a lovely little document about PB's history. I wanted it to be longer and more in-depth, though. It's fascinating to read! Thanks again for PB, and v4.5. The latest version is a brilliant update to the language. Arrays/lists/maps inside structures has really changed how I code, for the better!
