Output speed, little reflections and compares

Post by walbus »

Now, BF can output on images, canvas, PB sprites and screen

For typical complex outputs on BF, (ever the same, for compare), it looks so.... :

(Hint : Start and stop drawing influence the speed mostly all over, i think, this is clear !)

Slowest output is directly on a window, mostly not acceptable for larger outputs and needed high speed
(Therefore on BF deactivated, also different abilities on different OS)

Output on images and canvas is equally fast, very good speed, mostly the best for many things

Output directly on a screen has about only the halfe speed as a output on images or canvas
OK for many things, but a secret trap for needed high speed

Output on a PB sprite and from the PB sprite to the screen ist the fastest
It has about the double speed as a output on images or canvas !
(Deactivate V-sync for high speed on screen)

Yep, I don't want to advertise it, so I haven't written any more

But, you ask, here a answer :

As sample, in the BF (BucketFill_advanced) download packet you found seven demo files with GIF inside its names

This are seven complete, but different, GIF players

This players must not have a image gadget for output

The players can directly output on images, canvas, PB sprites or screen

For games, applications or creating stand alone GIF players with a graphic interface

Simple, samples for all available output methods

So a player is image based, a other pixel based

The players can automatic tilling, resizing, multiple tilling, clipping, CSS sheet handling, alpha blending

Also you can set color distance, for "Matrix" like cool outputs (Set about 30 percent for a first testing) and many more

Bug free, full PB compatible, complete, very little, for all available things a player

You can found very large video like GIF and CSS sheets in the download packet for testing and comparing

So you can simple compare available speed for different output methods

So fahr, you want ? - Have fun !

Let me look your projects !

If you want to make yourself important, find someone else

It's not very clever to write first you don't know what BF is and then you write that you read all my postings

If you read all my postings you know what BF is, so it is clear what you want !
Make you feel important !

In your signature you have written self : "I'm an official dummy !"
