Hi,
is there a command for Win2k or WinXP that does the same as the 'msconfig' in Win98 ?
So is there a possibility to comfortabel configure all Winstartup-actions ?

The "msconfig" app from Win98 works with 2K/XP, so you can just use that
if you can get a copy. However, a freeware app called "Starter" does it all
so much better, and is available here:

I highly recommend it... I've never used "msconfig" since finding this.

Froggerprogger,

MSCONFIG is also supplied with Win XP; it's in the C:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\Binaries directory. You should be able to run it by typing MSCONFIG into the Run box. It's got some new features specific to Win 2000/XP.

@PB
When I try to download the 'starter'-file, I always get the message:

Temporarily Unavailable

The Tripod page you are trying to reach has exceeded its hourly bandwidth limit. The site will be available again in 1 hour!

Thank you!

It's hourly bandlimited webspace - argh.
But google found it many times. An actual one here at webattack.com:

And here I found the downloads for the msconfig.exe for win 95 98 2000 and xp:
:arrow: http://www2.whidbey.com/djdenham/Msconfig.htm

Thank you both for these hints!
