What you are doing now is to mix up two different issues: optimization and file size. One might argue they are correlated, they are not in this case. The size of the distributed software, regardless of it's kind, doesn't automatically imply badly written code.

In that part of post sent to you I told both of them separately .

Anyway the meaning is simple: WTF size should be bigger, if it can be smaller? Just because you have too much HDD space and bandwidth in 2017? ^^ This reminds something like that mindless "consumerism", or just represents kind of pseudo-progress in total.
