Thanks, Fred.

I love when I check the Bugs forums and see a column of red (replies from Fred or Freak)... it's like a mini-Christmas that happens a few times every year!

Thank you, Fred and team :)

I mainly use PB on Windows, but if a big Mac update is coming up, and a few key Linux bugs get fixed... I will be expanding my horizons very soon. 8)

Indeed, it is early April and the LACK of [DONE] posts is highly alarming. If one were to read between the lines, they might come to the conclusion that Linux support has been officially abandoned.

I am still holding out hope, but that hope is waning...

Please stop your ranting, i can't deal with all the platforms at the same time: it's time consuming to switch the dev environment. It will be done before the beta 2.

I know English isn't your first language, but there was no ranting. I made a generalized hyperbolic statement and I said "if" and "might" and put those in italics.

My thoughts were in the last paragraph. I am sorry that you take me saying "I am holding out hope" as a rant. Lesson learned: any comment in support of PureB will be seen as an insult by Fred.

Kuron, Fred is not the only one who saw ranting in your posts. As an occasional ranter  , I can spot it, too--and I cannot fault Fred for his description.

If you look at the bug report forums, it is very obvious he is focusing on the Windows reports. After all, that is where 90% of us are! I am sure that all of the os-independent bug fixes will apply to all os's, but it is unrealistic (or inefficient, at best) to expect him to bounce from one os to another. The fastest way to handle them is to work on one file at a time, and that typically means one os at a time.

BTW, the primary reason I chose PB was for cross-platform use; I want the Linux & Mac fixes done, too.

He's just gotten back to it the last couple of days and has been CRANKING out the bug fixes. Then he'll methodically move to the other platforms, one at a time, as he always does ... but now PB is his only focus so look for good things to come!

So, you admit you read my post through biased eyes.

Any perceived rant is solely in the eyes of the reader. I stand by my comments from the past month or two encouraging people not to leave PB because of the issues with Linux. Again, though, this is the "any comment in support of PureB will be seen as an insult" issue.

Is it your first language? Even by the narrowest definitions, you were ranting. And by your own admission, it was hyperbole.

TI-994A: I am sorry that hyperbole is a concept above your comprehension. Hence, your confusion accusing me of ranting, when I was not.

To accuse me of ranting, when I was not, is just as asinine to say my favorite color is red, when it was not.

Hi Kuron. Firstly, please let me say that all this is nothing more than just friendly jousting.

But, while we may not know your favourite colour, it's clear that you were ranting, and your admitted use of hyperbole qualifies it as a rant. You may try to hide behind semantics, but asinine would be to re-define words above your comprehension.

It's not an accusation; it's simply English. References linked below, for your convenience.

from dictionary.com:
rant - to speak or declaim extravagantly
hyperbole - an extravagant statement

from thesaurus.com:
rant - exaggeration, hyperbole
hyperbole - exaggeration, rant

What have you been smoking? Hyperbole is a form of humor, just like sarcasm and parody.

Again, why the accusation for something I clearly did not do? You have accused me of a rant, and I have told you that you are incorrect and that is not the way my words should be read or taken. You should not put your thoughts in the mind of somebody else or construe their words in a way they were not intended. I am not sure why you are trying to instigate a fight, but if you have a personal beef with me, I will be more than happy to give you my physical address via PM and you can make your accusations face to face.

Which only makes yours a parodically sarcastic rant, but a rant nonetheless. Xanax?
