Show me your color sheme and I tell you who you are!

Post by Fluid Byte »

*** [EDIT] ROFL! My ISP has been hacked, screenshot is currently offline! [/EDIT] ***

Seriously, it's like what people got in their fridges or bathroom. Psychologists can derivate a million of individual character properties from it. It's a science of it's own.

I'm a typical low-skilled programmer who thinks desgin is more important then efficiency. That's why my color sheme looks like this:

Image

Honestly, most programmers won't give a ..., well, you catch my drift. But I think the default color sheme of PB is a "pure" horror trip for anybodys eyes. Most pepole will recognize the colors from the Blitz3D IDE. I just imported the sheme and added missing colors for pointers, constants, etc.

I encourage everyone to download and use this sheme: Blitz3D Extended.prefs

It's for PB V4.0 and can easily imported via the Import/Export settings page in the preferences dialog.

I use a similar colour scheme as Kale for assembly.

Just as I expected, those of you can code have rather dull color shemes! :D

@trond: With a "horror trip for your eyes" I only meant the artistic aspect of the default PB sheme, not readability.

Unfortunately, you cannot be told what the matrix is, you have to see it for yourself...

:)

Works for me!

This is the one i use.
It's a port from a color scheme found on Chrome IDE.
There are many other great color schemes in that editor!.

I use the same one as srod. (except my font is bigger)

The dark green on black and the contrast to the yellow together with the large font make it very relaxing for the eyes,
so perfect for very long coding sessions :)

I put it in the list of predefined style sets, so i would not need to set it up each time i install new alpha builds (you can try it out there)
(this tells you one thing: i am very lazy :D)

I like lots of color, with a black background so it doesn't hurt my eyes:

I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).
