PureBasic icon
Hi there,
This is something I've been wondering about for years, why is the PureBasic icon a stylised 'Z'?
Just curious if there is any deep meaning or reasoning behind it.
Kind regards,
Francis

Re: PureBasic icon
It is not a Z, but three parallel lines representing the three platforms and a diagonal line as a union

For nothing, in fact. I needed an icon for the Windows version of PB, so I took Paint and started messing with that. BTW, than it's not a Z, it has 3 horizontal lines .

Re: PureBasic icon
I was sure that it had been discussed before, but doing a search for "PureBasic" and "icon" brought up too many other posts.BarryG wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 12:20 am Old thread about the PureBasic logo -> https://www.purebasic.fr/english/viewto ... 97#p437997

Re: PureBasic icon
Now with Raspberry Pi support we need a new logo, or a longer line for Linux.

Re: PureBasic icon
I never liked the logo (or the name of the application) because they seem like a toy instead of a powerful tool
But I understand that sometimes it is more important to keep things unchanged.

I've always seen an italic PB with some strokes missing for whatever reason.Starwolf20 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 3:42 pm i allways have seen a F (inversed) and a L.
