I've used other text to speech solutions, and this mighty program has them all beat.

Balabolka is a free text-to-speech engine that boasts quality and flexibility worthy of a paid app.

The software does everything that I need for text to speech in a quick and easy to configure interface.

Sometimes I just want to kick back away from the keyboard and screen, and this app allows me to catch up on my reading while doing so,

Balabolka rates a 10 out of 10.

Streamwriter (https://streamwriter.org/en/)

A awesome, light weighted and feature rich program to play, search and record web radio streams.
I used TapinRadio till I found streamwriter, but streamwriter feels better for me. The stream- and gui respond is very fast. It has an big online database with stream urls. A portable version is also available, as well as an installable version (it's essentially only one exe which take you by the hand at the first start for setting up the program. program and installer is the same exe)

It would start on the new tab page and spread from there.
Thankfully my favorite web browser has decided to remain totally free.

Mozilla scraps in-Firefox ads

At this point I'm thinking that Firefox is the most used application installed on my computers.
Perhaps this is an inappropriate place to post this, but I'd certainly agree to pay a small fee to keep Firefox advertisement free.

Speaking of browsers...

My favorite browser is Iron. It is based on the Chromium framework but without any privacy concerns. More, the Chromium is improved with some useful functions like a builtin adblocker, a flexible, permanent user-agent setting and an improved prewiew-thumb panel. The browser is fast, have an adequate filesize and is also available as portable version. I am very happy with it.

The browser of the future - based on the free Sourcecode "Chromium" - without any problems at privacy and security

Google's Web browser Chrome thrilled with an extremely fast site rendering, a sleek design and innovative features. But it also gets critic from data protection specialists , for reasons such as creating a unique user ID or the submission of entries to Google to generate suggestions. SRWare Iron is a real alternative. The browser is based on the Chromium-source and offers the same features as Chrome - but without the critical points that the privacy concern.

We could therefore create a browser with which you can now use the innovative features without worrying about your privacy.

We want our users to participate in our work and make the browser free to download under the name "SRWare Iron" into the net.

This looks like it can make professional looking plots.

I have done a backup of a original Windows 10 from a hard disk of a laptop, and later i restored it to a blank hard disk without problems (also valid for win 7, 8, 8.1 ...) .

The laptop comes from factory with EFI activated in the Firmware config setup, and 5 partitions in a hard disk configured as GUID (in opposit of MBR layout).
The back-up task is done under XP using the free and powerful Eassos Partitionguru: http://www.eassos.com/partitionguru-free.php
Also it can be done with Paragon Backup & Recovery 14 or 15, but this one is not free.

Both programs allow to manage GUID disks also onto win XP.

To get the target to work, you can backup and restore all the factory partitions, but it also works restoring only 2 of them: the EFI one (100MB to 300MB size) and the system partition.

You can make a linux to convive together with win 10 or win 8.1 in EFI-GUID scenary.

For more questions ask me here please.
And think about this software from EASSOS.

NEVER 10

Image _ Image

I think that most who have been around long enough acknowledge that the Gibson Research Corporation is a first rate operation.

Image

At only 81K it certainly wins the size prize!

"So, yes. Never10 is relying upon Microsoft to obey their own provided settings, which they created a special update to Windows Update to provide. And they buried those settings where no “regular user” would ever find them. I will be stunned if Microsoft should ever choose to deliberately bypass the express desire of their users by ignoring their own registry settings. It's not impossible, but it'll never happen."

Steve obviously trusts Microsoft a lot more than I do.

For Windows Users. Stuff that will stop malware that hasn't been made yet:
https://ransomfree.cybereason.com/ (there are lots of anti-ransomwares but I think this is the first and by a real security firm)
https://sandboxie.com (someone probably posted this; if it doesn't run in Sandboxie and it's not signed then delete it)
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sys ... 63902.aspx (run it in safe mode without networking and it'll detect everything but infected MBR and VBR that starts with Windows; use UEFI secure boot(BIOS feature) or Clonezilla for MBR and VBR defense)
Most secure practical OS in existence:
https://subgraph.com/ (Anonymous type OS except developed by famous Linux security people; better than Tails slightly better than Qubes at least with networking)
General:
http://clonezilla.org/ (make a portable copy of a disk volume or the entire disk(doesn't move free space saving bytes/kilobytes/megabytes/gigabytes/terabytes in image)
