What font do you use in the IDE?
What font do you use in the IDE?
I was reading this thread when I got curious:

What font do you use in the IDE? I love Lucida Console, size 9.

I use Courier New because I like columns to line-up neatly and it's a very clear font to read at 3 in the morning. I generally don't write a lot of code in PB's IDE though, I use Ultra Edit - it is excellent for most programming languages.

I love PB IDE's auto case correction and code completion. Can Ultra Edit do this for PureBasic?IdeasVacuum wrote:I generally don't write a lot of code in PB's IDE though, I use Ultra Edit

I'm experimenting with Inconsolata pt size 10 at the moment, but normally I use Bitstream Vera Sans Mono pt size 9, which is great.
Also an absolute must for me is GDI++ which turns my Win7 font rendering into something similar to a Mac. I can't live without it, nowadays the normal Windows font rendering (with or without ClearType) hurts my eyes.

For all my IDE (PureBasic, Codelite, UltraEdit, Notepad++, FasmW, ...) : Lucida Console (9 or 10)

Ultra Edit has configurable syntax highlighting and auto-correction of case (specific to the language). It doesn't have auto-complete (something that I dislike in VS, just slows me down!), though it's sister, UE Studio, does. It has very good macro facilities and totally awesome column editing. Segoe UI, half bold, size 10. Very nice to work at night.
Sorry by bad English.

Re: What font do you use in the IDE?
on Linux:
IDE: mixed fix regular 10
PANELs: Bitstream Vera Sans 8
Debugger: without
on Windows:
IDE: Diana 7 [a proggyfont]
PANELs: ProFontWindows 8
Debugger: without
(I didn't know 'til yesterday there was an extra setting for the debuggerfont as well)
I stick to the IDE for programming as the quick help, all the helps, addons, indentions, colors, error-msgs ... are too helpfull to be missed.
But as for editing the IDE is a cramb, no wrab for reading, a dreadful annoying plain search ( & in files / replace) function ... so then I too switch to UE - it's simply unbeatable to any editor I know.
greetings ~ Vera

Re: What font do you use in the IDE?
I use Dina, 8 pt and 10pt, for most things and Courier New, 8pt and 10pt, for some selected things.
Re: What font do you use in the IDE?
Screenshots of the fonts would be better in this thread.

I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).
