Server move

Post by Fred »

Hi all,

My ISP just send me a notice than the current server is reaching its end of life (no more support) and will be closed the 9 july and replaced by a new one. I will have to move the server somewhen, so these forums can be closed for a few days. I don't know exactly when I will start the migration, but it should happen soon. Don't be worried if the site is off for a few day :)

Thank you !

Hello Fred.

Because it is the same server, I suppose this announcement also concerns the French forum?
I don't know exactly when I will start the migration,
Current June? July before 9 July ?

Thanks.

I guess the subject has already been discussed and while your hands are dirty.
What about file attachments on the forum. To include images or small files in a post and avoid to go through a shared server and avoid dead links over time.
Someone else may have the answer on why it is not currently done ?

Good work on moving the server :)

So the move has happened? I got a Tapatalk popup which means something server-side was reset, because I only get that popup when signing into the forum for the first time.

No no no. :-)
It was just a few hours today, and seems to be done now.

I think we will need a few more time to have DNS correctly setup. Move is finished, if you see something strange (compared to before the move), don't hesitate to tell

From the very center of Eurasia (54.998473°N 82.906547°E) the queries:

http://www.purebasic.fr/english/search. ... ive_topics
http://forums.spiderbasic.com/search.ph ... ive_topics

work very well. Yay!
