PureBasic 4.50 RC2 released!

Post by freak »

Hello everybody,

After a lot of bugfixing the 4.50 version is now almost ready for the final release. So here is the first release candidate. If there are no more big issues with it, the final will follow soon. So if you haven't tested the 4.50 version yet, now is the time!

One change since the Beta4:
- The ComboBoxGadget is now back to the old version and you have to use the flag #PB_ComboBox_Image on creation to enable image support.

Thanks.

Also extra thanks for this:

It shows that you really listen to what the beta test users are saying. :)

Hi,

I found the first bug:

The linux version is named purebasic_linux_4.50_beta_1_x86_(ysg02s).tgz

It should be rc_1 or not

Oh....
also the windows version x86 is named beta_1.

Best regards and thank you very much,

Bernd

The problem with dual monitor ATI cards (mine is ati radeon eah3850) still remain with the latest ATI drivers installed too.. I don't think that its a win 7 problem but i can't check. (because i only have win 7 .. and it still works fine in other languages) If i don't have the extended monitors active (ie: back to on e screen.. ) then everything works as expected.

what is happening is that when
I have the same screen resolution and bit depth on my desktop as my program everything works fine
when its different then it doesn't seem to initialize properly.

I do believe this is a PureBasic problem as I can use othewr languages and everything is working as exprcted and desired.
Currently using PureBasic 4.51(x86)

I was watching this decision with great interest and it's good to see that the team decided to listen to their customers and revert back to the old. An excellent business decision, which other companies could learn from. Kudos!
