Your work is appreciated. All projects start off slow....put the phone down too. and the ipad.
Done, and thanks for talking to me last night Josh, you're a good friend.

This type of thing is downright disgusting and the Gold member's lack of self-respect to do such low down thing.
I too found out someone in India cracked one of my software and upload onto a forum that do not accept new user registration.
Maybe you want to find some way to protect the source code distribution. Maybe some sort of water marking.
Yep it really hurts when you offer a very fair price and people still abuse that. Sorry to hear about your software being cracked too

I've already created some new mailing list software that digitally signs the source to the user details so it won't happen again hopefully.
You know, I was wondering why I'd hardly had any sales the past few months despite consistent downloads and interest on the forums. Guess I know why now

The short answer is "All software can be cracked/hacked/stolen/released"
The 1st time it happened to me, I was pissed.. then someone said "take it as a sign that your product is worth something"
yep true true mate, it was just a matter of time before it happened to me but I wish the timing would have been better. Talk about the universe trying to push a man over the edge! lol

also a competitor (

I have their full set of OCX controls. Few years ago, they were very prompt in their email reply. But no more now. With VB6 a dead platform, they are now having a fire sale.
Since Vista (late 2006) and the issue with OCX/UAC, I prefer to move away from OCX.
Aye, personally I think it's better to have a simple flat API in DLL form that can be used with any language

Chris, I strongly believe anyone on theses forums can see the value in ProGUI, and I really hope we (as a community) are smart enough to understand it's not worth illegally downloading an affordable product... So I think (hope?) it should not impact your sales.
Thanks Poshu mate that makes me feel better

At least you haven't had some bone head asking, on this very thread, "where can I get a free copy of ProGUI?"
The cheek of some people is almost beyond belief. No wait, it is beyond belief.
By the way, where can I get a free copy of ProGUI?

haha lol cheers Steven

I'm not about to give up now anyway, not after nearly 6 years of hard work (the hours put in must be astronomical).
Thanks guys for your support and understanding and sorry for spilling my guts on the forum, it's not very professional of me but I'd like to think you're my friends too and not just users of ProGUI.
Cheers,
Chris.
