ListIconGadget with #PB_ListIcon_CheckBoxes

I'm using ListIconGadget with #PB_ListIcon_CheckBoxes.

However, the location of the checkboxes is always the first column.

Can another column be seleceted to show the CheckBoxes?

This is only possible using API functions which have the disadvantage that your program can't be used cross-platform on other operating systems. If you are using Windows you may take a look into the following code examples:
