Set-up Outlook profile

Post by boyoss »

Good evening and thanks to all the repliers...

Is there a possibility to set-up an Outlook profile?
I search in the internet and i see there is something called MAPI, but i can't understand how to do it.

Thanks

A search of this forum is interesting:

If it sounds simple, you have not grasped the complexity.

Your question is far too vague. Outlook is highly polymorphic.

Which version of Outlook?
Deployed on which version and variant of Windows?

Operating in what sort of environment?
1) Standalone.
2) Connecting to an SMTP/POP3 server combination.
3) Connecting to an IMAP server.
4) Connecting to a standalone MS Exchange server.
5) Connecting to a MS Exchange server which is a member of an Active Directory Domain.

Are you talking about deploying Outlook for the first time in a new environment?
Or are you reconfiguring an existing end user deployment to a new server environment?

Regardless, Outlook already contains a number of deployment automation features.
Read this page - you should find a pointer to something which you can leverage:

ok i'll try to explain a bit more.
In outlook you can add account, let's say gmail, and choose name, username, password, smtp and imap server etc, and the account is setted and you start receiving emails

the question is how to automatize this step, i want to have a script where i write all the settings, and it send all this to outlook and set the account automaticly.

thanks
