Hi,
Does anyone know of a good html help authoring? Something to create PB-like help files. I don't need to create chm files, just html but the format of pages needs to be created from a template html file, and if possible some kind of search index.
I'm developing on Mac so it has to be at least available on Mac, can't find one and I can't be bothered to make one myself :)

Cheers

Thanks but that's not what I need. I need something specific to create an help file, I want the end result as an HTML file, but do not want to fill any HTML as I want it to be done through templates to insure consistency between each pages.

"help" if not a chm, IS html --chm is just html compiled into one file.. it's still html. Good luck!

You could write a simple program in PB that took a bunch of TXT files, converted them to HTML DIVs, automatically created a "contents" box and allowed people to click from there to see one of the DIVs.

I think it's better to do this kind of stuff yourself than to look for a tool that will do it. You can solve the problem yourself in minutes, and customise it however you like!

Given that CHM is HTML compiled into one file, it's a far better proposition for help files.

You don't need to re-invent the wheel. A couple of PB based Help file makers:
gonzal's: http://gnozal.ucoz.com/
sverson's: http://www.sverson.de/purebasic/PureHelpMaker/

Edit: Ah, both the above are based on Windoz.

Indeed, it's Windows only. I'm gonna make my own stuff, it's not that hard and I'll have just what I want, I guess :)
