Notes

. It is reccomended that you run the cataloguer on your root drive before you start using iManage so that the 'Find' function works. It 'DOES NOT HURT YOUR INSTALLED INCREDIMAIL' installation, just catalogues it. As you click on a directory to look at your various files, they are added to the database if they are not already there, in case you have more than what is installed. Duplicates into the database are rejected on the basis of the full path and filename of the current file being different to the one being added.

. When installing IncrediMail letters, you might have noticed a lot of downloading going on for some of them. That's because nearly all letters have dependancies on other files such as sounds and animations. If you want to save youself some time, download all sounds and animations from the gallery first and install them BEFORE you install the letters or Ecards so that the dependancies are in place. Same goes for when you create your own letters, create the IMC file with the sounds and animations FIRST in the list so that they are installed first and prevent incredimail from constantly trying to download them from their site.

. Refer to the included sample help file for more in-depth explanations and screen shots.

Hello,

ah, yes that would come very handy! It seems to me that you have special knowledge in Incredimail?! How can I backup all (Mail, emotions... all) and restore it again. I heard that none of the tools would work?! But I have *not* tested it. I would be great, if you could post your managing tools.

Thanks for sharing!

Hello Fangbeast,

Thank you for your codes! I tried your first sorter (first post). I have got a "C:\IncrediLetters" Folder. It's 98 MB big. Are the contents *moved* or copied? And if they are *moved*. How could I copy them into the original IM Data Folder. I don't use Incredimail myself. But my wife is using it heavyly. Therfore it is 98 MB big after sorting. I tried to use the sorter a second time and ended up with a "C:\IncrediLetters" Folder that is only 0 bytes  I did not back up the original IM Data Folder before...

If the original contents Letters and the other stuff aren't there I am in big big trouble. My wife will kill me...

Can you help me out?

Thank you!

Fangbeast, I am forced to admit that I was a bit blue eyed  Without a backup and "RenameFile". But I use the corect Incredimail Data Folder as a Source. So it will be a good exercise for me to install all items by doubleclicking in the Explorer.

Is there any easier way?

It is a good lesson for me to read the code thoroughly in the future. I am normally the backup type. But this time I didn't think/read before. A good lesson. And a good start for deaster recovery. Yes, call me naive!
