Fun with a real amiga and purebasic :)

Yep. A600 + ROM 3.1 is definately not working. Purebasic hangs.
A1200 with 2mb chip only loads the editor, but fails due to lack of memory.
A1200 with Blizzard 1230 and 16mb finally gets Purebasic working :)

Just FYI :)

You never said which version of PureBasic. :)

PureBasic v4.00 is the last official version that supports the Amiga, and
is no longer officially supporting the Amiga since December 10, 2006.

It works fine though.

BTW: Do you know what requirements a PB4 app has on Amiga OS? Does it require kick 3.x like det compiler itself?

Regards

It depends on what features your application uses.

In theory you can program an application that will run under Workbench 1.3 (or even earlier) provided that you do not use features that are specific to later versions (e.g. EasyRequester or Datatypes).

Kind regards,

Francis.
